Besides my Free Comic Book Day (May 1st) comic, I will have a limited run print for sale that day. I am plotting a Free Comic Book Day World Tour where I try to hit up as many of the shops as I can that day. I'm confirmed to be signing from 5-7 PM at The Comic Vault. More info will come.
That above doodle may or may not be related to my non-GSD project that will be debuting for Free Comic Book Day.
Facts: 1) Issue #2 will be out in May in time for Motor City Con. 2) My Free Comic Book Day offering will actually be non-GSD related. 3) I will have a new set of three prints, which will be monster-related. They'll still be the same size as the old Spidey, Rorschach and Ghost Rider prints. In fact, they'll be a little more even for a uniform set. 4) I will have an exclusive print for each convention I do this summer. 5) After Issue #3, I'm gonna work simultaneously on Doodle to try to get it out by next year.
Almost finished, just wanted to post something up tonight as I digest these hot dogs I just are. Yum.
Just needs a splash of blood and it'll be good to go!
I just lined up some concert poster work for The Wonder Years and A Wilhelm Scream. Really excited about those. I'm in talks with some other bands as well, so I'll keep you posted. I'll post those designs up when they're done.
One of the best feelings in the world, at least to me, is seeing your artwork displayed in someone's home.
Some doodles to warm up for some new commissions. I now realize I have a crapload of stuff to work on.
And as if I'm not busy enough, I'm gonna start working on a new website soon. I decided it's time to retire the ol' blog for a more practical setup. I'll still do regular updates but I'd like for the art and stuff to be more organized and presented in a nicer fashion instead of being buried with stories about me pooping and long, boring recaps of conventions. So keep checking in for more info on that.
And if all that nonsense wasn't enough, I'm looking for more work. I've decided to branch back out into doing concert posters again. I used to do them all the time back in the day and I figure I should do them again. So if your band or a band you know wants some quality artwork for their show instead of a picture copied from Google with text overlayed in MS Paint, please drop me a line. If I charge you, it definitely will not be a lot. I'd rather have my work get out there more than overcharge for pictures of monsters and food!
For something non-GSD-related that I'm working on.
P.S. As of 3/01, there are only four copies of the Ghosts! prints available. When I said limited, I meant it. There are only 20 in existence, not counting the original painting. For those not up to speed, it's a watercolor print, 4x11 on 67 lb. beige cardstock, individually numbered and signed. A picture of it is a few posts down. If you are interested in one of the remaining four copies, please contact me ASAP as they are going fast!
